In the division 3 match between Sportsman A & Astley B last night the landlord of the Astley played the last match. I challenged him about this as he is a registered Astley A player in the first division & he said as landlord he could play for either team. Can you confirm whether this is correct as it potentially has a bearing on the division 3 title/promotion race.

As far as i am aware even landlords can only play for one team - not both. If he has signed for the Astley A but never played fro them, then that is fine. If it turns out he plays for both of them, there might be a bit of a problem! Just out of interest what is his name? Incase i can find any cards etc to check.

As for the Division 3 Title Race - it gets even more confusing now as the Cheshire Ring dropped out of the league at 8pm last night and so i have had to removed the results versus the Cheshire Ring for the second half of the season. Thus the 3rd Division Table looks like this at the minute:

1st: Sportsman 'A' P19 Pts 126
2nd: Pyramid P20 Pts 119
3rd Flowery Field P19 Pts 117
4th Astley 'B' P20 Pts 105

He is called T Cohen. On the card their last players name was crossed out & his name added

I'm sure the guy plays regularly for their A team & in fact he is listed as Astley A in the captains & landlords cup!

As he won his game last night i would like that result to be overturned giving the Sportsman a 5-2 win

I will look into this and contact Tony and Dave as its something we need to prove before deducting points etc as it could affect league tables in Division 1 also!

Having dnoe as much checking as i can without looking through every single book, i can confirm that T. Cohen has not played for the Astley A in Division 1, and also the fact he is down as Astley 'A' in a Competition may be due to him originally signing on the for the A team, but then asked to switch to the B team as they were struggling.

This means the 4-3 score of Monday stands
